April 28, 2026 – Full Speed Ahead: Focus on the Strategic Fleet
Merchant Navy & Navy – A Naval Review of the French Fleet in Institutional Action
This day will bring together institutional stakeholders, experts and maritime professionals to discuss the sector’s contemporary challenges.
The presentations and discussions will notably address the strategic vision of the maritime domain and the complementarity between the Navy and the Merchant Navy, in line with the analyses highlighted in the Chenevard Report.
As part of the “400 Years of the French Navy” label, this sequence will offer a broader perspective on the institutional, industrial and operational dynamics shaping today’s and tomorrow’s maritime landscape
.
This day will follow an institutional format, closed to the public and accessible by invitation only.
April 29, 2026 – Exploring Maritime Pathways
An immersive day to discover maritime studies and careers
At the heart of HydroContest by ENSM 2026, this immersive experience offers a dynamic exploration of the opportunities within the maritime sector.
Through exhibition stands, interactive activities and engaging demonstrations, visitors will gain deeper insight into the diversity of pathways and refine their career orientation.
Industry professionals will be present to share their experiences, engage with participants and answer questions.
Immersive devices, including simulators, will provide a hands-on introduction to real-world practices and operational environments.
Throughout the day, visitors will also enjoy access to the highlights of HydroContest by ENSM and attend the prototype races.

April 30, 2026 – HydroContest Tech Days
Innovation, decarbonization, dialogue and connections at the heart of tomorrow’s maritime world!
A major highlight of HydroContest by ENSM 2026, the HydroContest Tech Days will bring together students, industry leaders, start-ups and maritime stakeholders to explore innovation, energy performance and decarbonization challenges.
Round tables and thematic discussions will punctuate the day, providing practical insight into ongoing transformations and emerging solutions within the sector.
An exhibition area will offer visitors the opportunity to discover technologies, innovative projects and engage directly with companies and start-ups involved in maritime innovation.
Visitors will also be able to attend the Retrofit Challenge pitch sessions, a key moment during which student teams present their proposals before a panel of professionals, as well as a prototype race on the basin.
This day will also represent a valuable opportunity for students to interact with shipowners and industry professionals. Participants are encouraged to bring a CV should they wish to explore potential internship opportunities.
